Greg's Evolution

Since Greg posted all those pictures about my evolution over the past 9 months, I thought I should share what he has been doing these last 9 months. Basically, he has been completing every project possible in our house before our little guy arrives... he has been very busy.... Take a look!

First, he contracted out to update the plumbing in the house. Then, he got the drywall repaired after all the plumbing was complete. Of course, we had a complication.... the contractors accidentally closed our kitten, Hobbes, in the wall. Below, Greg had to cut out little Hobbes & then repair the drywall holes.

Next, he added a cool shelf to our guest bathroom.

After that, he took a (short) break to train for a couple of bike races. Here he is training for a 65 mile Ride for Aids race.

Next up, Greg had our AC replaced in the house. Here is what I came home to one night after work to in our front yard....

Greg's major project recently has been to build a storage shed in our backyard. He even got my Dad to help when he was visiting us.

Of course, he had to take a break to help set up the nursery. He cleared out the room, painted it, finished some electrical repair, installed shades etc. I helped out on the decorating part...

Currently, despite the 100 degree heat, he is back to finishing his shed! Here is a current status on the shed... roof's on, it's 3/4 painted, and he is working on the door & trim. I still can't believe how busy he has been the last 9 months! He's making me feel lazy :)

Anju's Evolution

So, how is Anju been changing over the course of the pregnancy? Here is a little retrospective....

Celebrating the 4th of July (38 weeks) down at Auditorium Shores with the Symphony and Fireworks:

Today, @ 37 weeks getting some coffee at our favorite spot.

Anju and me at 35 weeks, when we celebrated our 6 year anniversary.

Anju at 32 weeks when we were getting the nursery ready.

Both of us (not a great pic, but you can see her belly), at our Baby Shower in Week 31.

Childbirth Prep Class

We have our first childbirthing class from 6-9pm tonite at the North Austin Medical Center. Not sure what to expect, but here is the basic description:
"...classes give you insight into the birth philosophy of Dr. Thompson and staff, and an opportunity to ask any questions you may have ... you will learn details of the normal labor and delivery process, with an emphasis on a variety of breathing and relaxation techniques for labor"
I'm thinking that this class will make this whole experience become even more REAL, and ratchet up both the physical and mental preparation for Baby X.
